Role Overview
The team has a variety of job roles including Nutritionists and Early Years lead. This allows for shared learning and experiences within the team. The post holder will manage their own caseload of Early Years settings, guiding them through the Startwell Award process and offering tailored support.
In addition, the post holder will design and deliver training on Startwell and physical activity for Early Years settings and professionals at centralised sessions. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference to children's health and wellbeing across Birmingham. The service supports personal development via CPD opportunities, mentoring, clinical supervision and departmental Clinical Update meetings.

Responsibilities
* Guide Early Years settings through the Startwell Award process and provide tailored support.
* Design and deliver training on Startwell and physical activity for Early Years settings and professionals at centralised sessions.
* Support Early Years settings to achieve the Startwell Award by meeting set criteria around physical activity, food and oral health.
* Create healthier environments for children and families within nurseries, Children’s Centres, parents and health professionals.
Qualifications
* Experience working within Early Years settings.
* Relevant qualifications in Physical Activity.
Visa Sponsorship
In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non‑clinical roles and Band 3 non‑clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship. The majority of non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Band 3–6) with the exception of those that appear on the designated list will not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK. All non‑clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 7–9) that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship. The Trust will accept applications from candidates who can evidence their right to work in the UK or via alternative visa routes.

Background Checks
All new employees starting work with the Trust will be charged for the cost of their DBS check if required for the role. The cost will be deducted from your salary in three payments over a three‑month period once you start employment. The total cost is £26.40 for a standard check and £54.40 for an enhanced check.
