The Role
This is a hands‑on supervisory role where you'll be at the heart of the factory, working closely with the Production Manager to keep operations running smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard. You'll be leading from the front — supporting the team, driving productivity, and ensuring quality is never compromised.
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
* Contract: Self‑employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position
What You'll Be Doing
* Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed and dispatched on time
* Keep production running efficiently and ensure deadlines are consistently met
* Carry out quality checks to maintain high standards and compliance
* Support operatives on a day‑to‑day basis, providing guidance and problem‑solving support
* Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment
* Conduct 1-2‑1s with operatives to support performance and progression
What We're Looking For
* Previous supervisory experience within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment
* Hands‑on experience operating machinery (CNC experience advantageous)
* Confidence using or learning computer‑controlled machinery
* A proactive attitude
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the business
* A reliable, professional approach to work
