We are recruiting on behalf of a long-standing and reputable scaffolding contractor based in Ipplepen, South Devon. They are seeking a skilled and dependable Scaffolder to join their crew on an ongoing basis. This opportunity is open to fully experienced scaffolders as well as improvers who already have a solid working knowledge of scaffolding and are ready to develop their skills further in a supportive team environment.
Location
Ipplepen, South Devon. This position is a site-based role. Travel to various locations across the region will be required as part of normal working duties.
Salary – £15.00-£18.00 per hour
Pay is competitive and dependent on experience and licenses held, including any 7.5-T entitlement if applicable. Please get in touch to discuss rates in more detail.
Key Responsibilities
Erecting, modifying and dismantling scaffolding structures safely and in line with current industry standards
Working as an effective and cooperative member of a scaffolding crew at all times
Loading and unloading scaffolding materials and maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard and vehicle
Carrying out basic equipment checks and reporting any faults or defects promptly to the appropriate person
Driving a 3.5T flatbed vehicle as required, including site deliveries and collections
Qualifications
Essential
Demonstrable experience working in scaffolding, whether as a qualified scaffolder or as an improver with solid working knowledge of the trade
A full valid UK driving licence is required due to 3.5T flatbed driving responsibilities
A strong personal commitment to health and safety standards, particularly when working at height
The ability to work confidently and reliably as part of a team in a safety-critical environment
Desirable
A 7.5T driving licence, which may positively influence the rate of pay offered
