The SEN / SEND Tutor role is for qualified teachers to support young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs in Berkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet a wide range of needs.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to vulnerable learners and to keep the team around the child. You will be supported throughout placements by our SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is ideal for teachers who are able to work 1:1 with children and young people in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner to raise engagement and improve educational outcomes.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Support provided to learners referred by local authorities and schools, addressing educational and social-emotional needs
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring session to meet individual needs
* Provide engaging, holistic sessions that advance educational and social-emotional development
* Complete lesson reports and provide progress feedback
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
* Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK; remote/online work is acceptable
It is a strict requirement that you promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* Engagement as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service and PAYE payroll
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers work done for us
* Not a self-employed position
