With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you can join the multidisciplinary team at Middlewood Clinic, which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where you will provide care for young adults with eating disorders.

As a Social Worker, you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.

You will report to the Safeguarding Lead, manage internal investigations, and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharge processes, while enjoying access to a range of training opportunities that can help your career grow and help you achieve your aspirations.

As a Social Worker, you will be:

1. Referring to LADO and Local Authority in line with safeguarding and assessments
2. Educating hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters
3. Completing a full annual social care reassessment within the CPA format
4. Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and associated support services
5. Participating in 1:1 supervision

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

* Social Work England registration
* A Social Work degree
* Completed ASYE programme
* 2 years post-qualifying experience
* Experience within a similar environment

Where you will be working:

Middlewood Clinic is a new 12-bed mental health inpatient unit for young adults aged 18-25 in Sussex. The hospital is ideally located to provide safe and therapeutic care while remaining in the heart of the community.

This new eating disorder service is due to open early 2024. Join this new team in supporting treatment to empower each young person to live a safe and independent life and reach their potential.
