Our client is looking for a CAD/CAM Technician to join their team. The company produces cubicles, washrooms, vanity units and lockers for a range of organisations such as schools, sports and leisure centres, healthcare centres and entertainment facilities. They work closely with the construction industry nationwide to provide a professional fitting service.
The successful applicant would work closely with sales and customers to develop accurate designs, ensuring they meet specifications, regulations, and manufacturing capabilities. You will create detailed layouts, manage the drawing sign-off process, and generate manufacturing data. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in development projects and advance your technical skills. The role will suit someone who has recently qualified or graduated with a relevant degree.
Are you the right person for the job?
As a minimum, Design/Engineering based A levels or BTEC or Apprenticeship or relevant degree
Experience with Inventor, or other CAD packages such as Solidworks
Knowledge of the wider Autodesk ecosystem, such as AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Vault, Fusion and Revit, would all be desirable
Rendering experience (beneficial)
Knowledge of production processes and materials
Knowledge of Visual Basic or other coding languages (beneficial)

What will your role look like?
To assist customers in the design of washrooms and liaise with Customers and Sales to get order/drawing details confirmed. To manage customer sign-off within the agreed deadline
Advise customers on the Aaztec product range and specifications, as well as additional sundries/products
To ensure drawings are in line with product ranges and production capabilities, update and maintain fitting instructions, technical data sheets, etc
Carry out customer site visits to take dimensions for the production of site drawings for customer approvals
Provide electronic data to be used in the production of factory cutting lists and provide detailed manufacturing drawings for complex parts (these will be defined in the CAD models)
To provide support in the factory, as and when requested to do so
Design new products and update existing product lines
Write programs for manufacturing
