ABOUT THE ROLE
As a HR Operating Model Specialist you will support complex, large‑scale HR transformation programmes, translating operating model design ambition into actionable, enterprise‑wide change. You will shape how our People function delivers high‑quality, efficient, and future‑ready services, contributing to the design and optimisation of operating models that support our clients’ organisational strategy and enhance the employee experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support the delivery of HR transformation projects, contributing to operating model design, process improvement, workforce analysis and change management.
* Review and optimise end‑to‑end HR processes, identifying opportunities to improve service quality, clarity, governance and cross‑functional alignment.
* Undertake research, analytics and benchmarking activities to generate data‑driven insights that shape client strategies.
* Support the adoption of new ways of working, embedding continuous improvement, capability uplift and a culture of operational excellence across client organisations.
* Contribute to business development through proposal writing, client presentations and thought leadership.
* Participate in business development, internal contribution (campaign development, whitepapers, practice development) and learning & development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Proven experience in HR transformation and supporting HR operating model changes within complex organisations.
* Deep understanding of HR, shared services and operational delivery, including high‑level knowledge of HR systems, payroll, time management and benefits.
* Skilled in data‑led analysis and problem‑solving, able to simplify complexity and translate insights into clear recommendations.
* Highly collaborative and confident engaging a diverse range of stakeholders, facilitating workshops and aligning across teams.
* Proactive, delivery‑focused mindset with sound judgement, adaptability and a passion for improving employee and service‑experience outcomes.
* Experience in consulting or project management (e.g. CIPD, Prince2, or equivalent qualifications).
* Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment and secure support from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
* Experience building propositions and delivering them (e.g. proposal writing, RFPs, bids).
COMPENSATION
The role offers a remuneration package that includes flexible benefits options and a variable component dependent on grade and performance.
LOCATION & WORKING HOURS
The position is based in London, Manchester or Glasgow. You must be fully flexible regarding assignment location and may be required to travel or work away from home on short notice.
