Job Details: Criminal Justice Recovery Worker

Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing support to live fulfilling lives. We address poverty and disadvantage through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.

We have nearly 200 services across England, supported by almost 3,500 staff and volunteers, helping around 125,000 people annually.

As we integrate our systems and processes following the merger, some job branding may still reflect 'Humankind'. Our recruitment systems will be fully integrated next year.


Criminal Justice Recovery Worker x2

Location: Devon
Contract: Permanent

Are you passionate about making a lasting impact on individuals' lives within the criminal justice sector? We invite you to join us as a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker and contribute to transforming lives. We are currently hiring two roles.


About the role

The successful candidate will be flexible and dedicated. The role is mainly based in Exeter but involves supporting clients across Devon, including Newton Abbot, Exeter, and Barnstaple. Expenses for mileage will be reimbursed where applicable.

You will join a supportive team with extensive knowledge, providing assessments, supporting on release from prison, delivering 1:1 sessions, facilitating group work, and acting as a point of contact for service users and professionals. This is an exciting and rewarding role.

Knowledge of the criminal justice sector and ideally drug and alcohol issues is preferred, but transferable skills will be considered. We seek creative, hardworking team players with a passion for helping clients in need.


Responsibilities

* Conduct holistic assessments considering individual needs.
* Provide personalized support addressing underlying challenges.
* Create and deliver care packages to prevent first-time offenses.
* Collaborate with partners and professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Work hours: Primarily Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with some flexibility.
