At Nexperia Manchester, we are expanding our competitor analysis function to help shape future technologies and product strategy. As a Senior Competitor Analyst, you will play a critical role in strengthening our competitive position within the power semiconductor market.
What you will do
- Perform detailed physical analysis "teardown" of competitor MOSFET devices to package and wafer level using Failure Analysis techniques (FIB, SEM, X‑ray).
- Coordinate electrical performance benchmarking of competitor products versus Nexperia devices.
- Provide cost estimates of competitor products and technologies.
- Develop, calibrate, and refine cost models.
- Deliver technical data and analytical insights to R&D and Marketing.
- Monitor MOSFET technology trends and competitor activity.
- Oversee the physical analysis pipeline, including 3rd‑party labs.
- Conduct benchmark reviews and contribute to DeepDive sessions.
- Drive improvement activities within the benchmarking function.
What you will deliver

What you will need
- Degree in Electrical / Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics or related discipline.
- Several years’ experience in the semiconductor industry or similar.
- Advanced knowledge & skills in Failure Analysis techniques (FIB, SEM, X‑ray).
- Proficient understanding of semiconductor devices, process flows and manufacturing.
- Advanced level in statistical methods, modelling and database management.
- Experience in creating analysis reports, dashboards and data visualisation (Excel, PowerBI).
- Excellent communication skills, able to present to peers and senior stakeholders.
- Strong collaborator, able to engage and discuss ideas with stakeholders.
- Beneficial coding skills (e.g., Python).
- Understanding of the power semiconductor business, its technologies and portfolios.
