Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to provide maternity cover to our practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in anatomy and medication administration, as well as experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting.
Responsibilities
* Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
* Provide expert advice on medication therapy management to patients and healthcare providers.
* Conduct thorough medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions or contraindications.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust medication regimens as necessary, ensuring optimal therapeutic outcomes.
* Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications to enhance health outcomes.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Stay updated on the latest pharmaceutical research, treatments, and best practices in patient care.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Pharmacist, preferably with ICU experience.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to pharmacotherapy.
* Demonstrated ability in medication administration and patient care practices.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: Up to £25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
