Site Based, Plymouth, Devon Hours:
45 Hours, Permanent, Full Time As this site is a high-security military naval base, please note that additional security checks will be required. A
BPSS level of security clearance
is necessary, which can take up to 8 weeks to process. Only candidates holding EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and who have been UK residents for the last 5 years will be considered for this role. Your Responsibilities
As a
Works Manager
, you will play a crucial role in our Nuclear team, ensuring the successful delivery of the redevelopment project. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Planning, coordinating, and executing site works safely, timely, and cost-effectively in line with project plans and specifications. Ensuring compliance of construction operations and materials with project requirements. Controlling short and medium-term programmes for timely and economical completion. Implementing effective corrective actions for identified issues. Supporting the General Foreman in adhering to assessed construction risks and control measures defined in Work Package Plans and Task Briefs. What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have: An HNC (Construction related) or Level 6 NVQ in Construction Site Management. Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience in site construction activities and management of staff, operatives, and subcontractors within regulated sectors. A Gold Supervisors or Black Managers Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification. At Kier, we value potential!
