Our team at Cornerstone are looking for a positive, patient and flexible new colleague to join them in Balmore, East Dunbartarshire on a permanent part-time basis (30 hours per week). A full driving licence (manual) would be beneficial but not essential.
The Role
You'll become part of a fun, friendly, well-established team who provide high quality, person-centered support to four individuals. The role involves assisting with day-to-day personal needs, including meal planning, cooking, housework, personal care, moving and handling and medication. The people we support enjoy being part of their local community, so we’re looking for you to be enthusiastic about attending local events, gardening, swimming, hydrotherapy, and getting out for nature walks in the local area. Interest in films, trains and holidays can help with conversations over a cup of tea.
Cornerstone offers great learning opportunities for those with limited experience in social care and also offers career progression to develop your working practice in the role.

Shift Patterns
We provide dedicated around-the-clock support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Shifts can typically include 7am–3pm, 1pm–9pm, and we also offer sleepover and night shifts.

Please note: If you have spent more than 12 months outside the UK (excluding certain listed countries) within the last 10 years while over 18, you may be asked to provide a criminal record certificate as part of pre-employment checks. If you’re successful, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting employment.
