We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer with significant Engineering Discipline experience to join our Project Engineering team. Ideally the candidate would have worked at a Lead or Senior Engineer level within a technical engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting the Engineering Manager in the development of project basis of design, philosophies, key studies, novel technologies and value improvement practices.
2. Being familiar with the contract terms and scope of work, communicate them properly to the engineering staff, and perform all activities required of engineering, as required by the contract.
3. Prepare, issue, and maintain a project design basis document. Changes to the document after issue should be considered changes to the scope of work. This will require the coordination of multi-discipline input.
4. Work with the engineering disciplines to ensure readiness for project stage gate reviews.
5. Advocate the KBR staged execution approach ensuring the correct sequence of working between disciplines to support project success.
6. Support Project Controls in development of project schedules and resolve potential conflict between disciplines. Support the disciplines for mitigation measures where additional parallel working is required.
7. Support and collate the ITT package ensuring a high level of quality through engagement of key stakeholders.
8. Facilitate project workshops around lessons learnt, risk management and other discipline specific workshops.
9. Keep up to date with KBR Digital solutions and initiatives and support their effective roll out on projects.
10. Support the KBR Project Start up process ensuring the project works through the requirements in a timely manner.
11. Committed to the success of KBRs global workshare execution methodology.
Key Attributes / Skills
12. Experience in multiple project delivery as a Project Engineer across different phases of projects FEED, Detail Design etc.
13. Experience in developing scoping documents with multi-discipline inputs.
14. Collaborates well within a team environment and demonstrates good communications skills for internal and external stakeholders.
15. Demonstratable flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within deadlines.
16. Ability to work with clients to resolve issues, including conflicting demands, sensitive situations, and conflicts with other groups.
17. Experience of working with clients in lump sum environments with a focus on change management.
18. Extensive, broad relevant process, mechanical, project engineering and project services experience in the oil and gas industry
19. IT literate and fully conversant with Microsoft Office suite and in particular Microsoft Project.
Qualifications:
20. Degree in major engineering discipline or equivalent
21. Professional accreditation with registered Institution or Engineering Council or equivalent
