Job Description

This role will be based in our 5HP, London Victoria office

We are seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives for London Tech Week, one of the world's premier technology festivals. This role requires a strategic marketing professional who can drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and commercial success across multiple channels and stakeholder groups.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing Leadership

1. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to maximize event attendance, sponsor engagement, and media coverage
2. Lead cross-functional marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and experiential channels
3. Manage marketing budget allocation and ROI optimization across all channels
4. Collaborate with senior leadership to align marketing objectives with business goals

Campaign Management & Execution

5. Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns targeting diverse audiences including tech professionals, startups, enterprises, investors, and government stakeholders
6. Oversee content marketing strategy including thought leadership, speaker promotion, and industry insights
7. Manage digital marketing initiatives including SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and marketing automation
8. Coordinate PR and media relations to secure high-profile coverage and thought leadership opportunities

Stakeholder & Partnership Marketing

9. Develop marketing strategies for sponsor activation and partnership promotion
10. Create co-marketing opportunities with key industry partners, venues, and technology companies
11. Manage relationships with marketing agencies, vendors, and external partners
12. Coordinate with venue partners and local government for city-wide promotional activities

Data Analytics & Performance Management

13. Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks for all marketing activities
14. Analyse campaign performance, audience engagement, and conversion metrics
15. Provide regular reporting and insights to senior management and stakeholders
16. Implement data-driven optimization strategies for continuous improvement

Qualifications

Experience & Background

17. 7+ years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in senior marketing roles
18. Proven track record in event marketing, preferably for large-scale technology or business events
19. Experience managing marketing budgets of £300K+ and multi-channel campaigns
20. Strong background in B2B marketing within the technology sector

Technical Skills

21. Expertise in marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, or similar)
22. Proficiency in analytics tools (Google Analytics, social media analytics, CRM systems)
23. Experience with digital advertising platforms (Google Ads, LinkedIn, Facebook Business Manager)
24. Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices and content management systems

Core Competencies

25. Strategic thinking with ability to translate business objectives into marketing strategies
26. Excellent project management skills with experience managing multiple concurrent campaigns
27. Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
28. Exceptional communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

29. Experience with international marketing campaigns and global audience engagement
30. Background in startup ecosystem marketing or venture capital/investment marketing
31. Previous experience with government relations or public sector marketing
32. Familiarity with emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, fintech, etc.)
