Senior Associate Salaried GP for Newbattle Medical Practice
Are you an experienced GP looking for a role that combines excellent clinical practice with a clearer leadership remit?
Do you want to be part of a friendly, ambitious, and forward-thinking practice where you can support colleagues, help shape services, and contribute to the ongoing development of a strong multidisciplinary team?
Newbattle Medical Group is seeking a Senior Associate Salaried GP to join our welcoming and progressive team. This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic GP to take on a salaried role that goes beyond routine clinical sessions, while remaining firmly patient-facing.
We are looking for a GP who reflects the best of modern general practice: an excellent clinician, confident in managing complexity, uncertainty, and risk, and able to provide whole-person care to patients and families. The successful candidate will also be someone who can support colleagues, contribute to service development, and provide visible senior leadership within the wider practice team.
This post includes a clearly defined leadership component. Alongside the delivery of high-quality patient care, the successful candidate will act as a senior team lead for salaried GP colleagues, offering day-to-day support and guidance, while contributing to service improvement, quality development, and safe, sustainable care across the practice.
These roles are designed to help GPs broaden their leadership and service development experience and may be particularly attractive to those who wish to prepare for future partnership or existing partners who are looking to reduce day‑to‑day pressure while maintaining strong clinical and organisational leadership.
We are particularly keen to hear from experienced GPs who are looking for a role with a broader leadership contribution and the opportunity to help shape future service delivery, support less experienced colleagues, and contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing GP practice.
Successful applicants will receive a salary in the region of £13,900 per session.
