Role overview: Support the delivery of the swimming lesson programme with flexible hours on weekdays and weekends to meet service needs.
Responsibilities
* You will support the delivery of the swimming lesson programme.
* Deliver group and one-to-one lessons to a variety of ages and abilities as part of the Learn to Swim Programme, following Swim England’s Learn to Swim Framework.
* Deliver at least 1 crash course during the year within our Learn to Swim Programme.
* Deliver high quality lessons in line with the company’s expected standards and schemes of work.
* Deliver the company’s internal water safety competencies “Swim Safer, Smarter, Stronger”.
* Deliver both in and out of the water, providing explanations and demonstrating appropriate swimming techniques for the skill level.
* Carry out continued assessments and update the child’s progression via the tablet after each lesson.
* Adhere to all health and safety protocols as stipulated in the company’s policies and procedures.
* Continue professional development through various CPDs hosted by the company.
* Maximise retention of swim school participants through quality standards, motivation and customer care.
* Ensure strong communication links between yourself, swim manager, reception and duty management.
* Be passionate about always looking for ways to improve the swim lesson programme and service to swimmers and customers.
Qualifications
* Swim England Level 2 Swimming Teaching Qualification.
* NPLQ qualification or a National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers.
* A NRASTC qualification and lifeguard own sessions when subject to local NOP/EAP.
