The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to make a real difference to the lives of residents and communities across Wales. This role will cover the South Wales area, including Bridgend and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Assistant Housing Officer (AHO) role involves providing continuity of service during times of Housing Officer absence and peak demand periods.
Who are we looking for?
We seek a passionate individual with excellent listening and communication skills, capable of understanding residents' needs, managing expectations, and accurately recording information. The candidate should have a good understanding of housing systems, be a team player, and be proactive in improving service delivery based on resident feedback. A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential for attending schemes/sites and visiting residents.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Housing Manager, you will cover duties when Housing Officers are unavailable, assisting residents with rent payments, housing options, and safety in their homes and communities. Flexibility and willingness to be deployed as needed are important.
