Main duties of the job
As the Pathway to Nursing Lead, you will:
·Build strong, collaborative relationships with operational leaders and education providers.
·Promote and develop the pathway so that it is accessible, engaging, and impactful.
·Inspire students and education facilities helping them to understand the opportunities and career routes available within nursing.
·Contribute to creating an inclusive, engaged, and future-ready nursing workforce that meets the needs of our patients while supporting staff to achieve the career they aspire to.
This is not a role for someone who thinks only within traditional boundaries—it will require creativity, innovation, and the ability to turn bold ideas into reality.

1. NMC Registration
2. Substantial management and leadership experience at band 7 or above
Desirable criteria
3. Previous project management experience
4. Knowledge if a range of strategic and workforce issues across the NHS
5. Have an ability to develop communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
The successful applicant(s) will normally commence at the minimum of the scale unless they have previous NHS service at the same band. Progression through the scale is by annual increments.
