Producing accurate and timely estimates for clients you’ll be a key point of contact for customers, ensuring you estimate with excellent attention to detail. Your duties will include: * Analyse construction plans and specifications to accurately prepare estimates for projects. * Liaise and develop relationships with customers and their representatives. * Work with project managers and clients to identify project requirements and provide cost-effective solutions. * Prepare comprehensive and accurate proposals for clients and present them when needed to answer their questions. * Compiling tender bids for work. * Research and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors, calculating the cost of materials, transport, labour and equipment hire. * Obtaining quotes for all predicted requirements from sub-contractors and suppliers. * Collating detailed price lists of everything needed on each project. * Undertaking site visits to proposed sites where needed. * Assessing and adhering to all risk assessments and health and safety requirements. * Plan a project including organising the schedule of work, costings and budget. * Ensure all major materials have been ordered with the support of the admin team to protect start times of the project. * Be available to support the client where needed throughout. * Where needed, communicate with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and others involved in the project. * Collaborate with the project team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
