Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As Head Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage staff, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
* Implement and uphold food safety regulations and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
* Develop new menu items, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential.
* Strong culinary skills with extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
* Previous experience in menu planning and food production is highly desirable.
* A background in hospitality will be advantageous, enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.
