Role Overview
As a Sewer Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining infrastructure, addressing issues like blockages, odours, and flooding, while providing excellent customer service and adhering to environmental standards. You will be part of our standby roster for out-of-hours work, with a strong emphasis on safety.
Responsibilities
1. Operate high-pressure water jetting units and CCTV equipment to identify sewer issues.
2. Investigate and resolve sewerage problems, providing first-time resolutions where possible.
3. Respond to incidents and perform planned maintenance.
4. Record feedback accurately using IT systems.
5. Work mainly alone, engaging with internal and external customers daily.
Candidate Requirements
* Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions; hands-on experience is beneficial.
* Basic IT skills.
* Ability to work independently and use initiative.
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Full driving license; a 4.5 tonne license is advantageous (training provided if needed).
* Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, with weight restrictions (max 113kg), including occupational health checks.
