An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Director of Allied Health Professions in Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. This role is pivotal in strengthening our AHP professional leadership infrastructure, at a time when Cwm Taf Morgannwg UHB is undertaking significant service transformational change.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, innovative and driven Allied Health Professional with a track record of leadership and transformation at a senior level. Reporting professionally to the Executive Director of AHPs and Health Science and the Service Director for DTPS (operationally), the postholder will provide strategic direction, professional and operational leadership to the Allied Health Professions within CTMUHB ensuring AHPs make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of the CTMUHB corporate strategy and the safe delivery of care. This will be delivered alongside the governance arrangements for all AHP services in relation to professional workforce governance, clinical governance and assurance, and staff governance.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, working with a diverse range of staff and will work closely with senior colleagues across all health and social care settings and third sector partnerships. As well as these attributes, the successful candidate will provide strong professional leadership for the range of AHP professions, providing professional direction and development and continuing our national award-winning successes.
HCPC Registration is required, educated to Master's level or equivalent experience is and an essential requirement.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery (across CTM geographical footprint) is essential for this post. The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be leading on the Quality and Safety agenda for the Diagnostics, Therapies, Pharmacy and Sciences Care Group and will also join the Executive on call rota, (Training and support will be provided).
