Fire & Security Engineer - Full Time
Location: Midlands and surrounding region
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum + call-out payments
We are currently recruiting experienced and suitably qualified Fire & Security Engineers to join our growing team, covering the Midlands and surrounding areas. This role involves the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarms, access control, and intruder alarm systems across construction and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Install, service, and repair electronic fire alarm and life safety systems
* Install, service, and maintain door access control equipment
* Install, service, and maintain intruder alarm systems
* Diagnose faults and troubleshoot systems from a range of manufacturers
* Ensure all installations comply with contract requirements and manufacturer guidelines
* Work independently or as part of a team
* Deliver excellent customer service and communication on-site
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or approved equivalent)
* City & Guilds 18th Edition (or equivalent)
* Fire alarm technical training
* Manufacturer training (minimum Gent / Hanwha preferred)
* Full UK driving licence
Working Hours
* Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
* Overtime paid after standard hours
* Call-out rota: 1 week in 3
Call-Out & Overtime
* £270 per week standby allowance
* Time and a half for call-out work
* Door-to-door pay (first 45 minutes travel unpaid)
