Senior High Intensity Clinician with lead role in Data and Performance
Join to apply for the Senior High Intensity Clinician with lead role in Data and Performance role at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
The service is looking to backfill maternity leave for our current service Data and Performance Lead, with one session per week, to run a range of data reports to support delivery of our KPIs.
Applications are invited from High Intensity Band 7 therapists with experience of running data and performance reports on IAPTus, to cover reporting for a six month fixed term period. The role also involves performance management and applicants should ideally have experience of line and performance management. Applicants will be clinical staff currently working in a Talking Therapies service and familiar with IAPTus. The role is advertised internally within CNWL. The role and reporting need to be done within service hours to enable linking with the management team and staff during the working day.
Main duties of the job
Reports are run intermittently across the month, to cover the following in the first instance. Other reporting may be added during the fixed term period, to meet service needs for data and performance reporting and management:
These are the regular must-have reports, with an indication of how long each may take to run and distribute to both individual staff and team leads:
* Long waits following assessments (Fortnightly – 30mins)
* 42 day wait search (weekly – 10mins)
* Waiting times to 1st treatment report (Fortnightly – 30mins)
* No contact in 90 days report (Monthly – 1hr)
* Waiting time to second contact report (Fortnightly – 30mins)
* Group searches (monthly – 10mins)
* Reviewing the wait report you send from the data team (Monthly - 1hr)
* Caseload reviews (Ad hoc – 2hrs)
* Below caseness at assessment (Fortnightly – 40mins)
* Recovery; trends, weekly monitoring, removal of second contacts if needed; monitor/action below casesness emails to staff (Weekly – time is dependant)

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent), including models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology, as accredited by BPS, or Doctoral level training in Counselling Psychology (or equivalent - masters level plus completed post qualification training).
* HCPC registration, as a practitioner psychologist (Clinical / Counselling Psychologist) Or: Post-qualification training in Cognitive Behavioural Treatment (CBT) Applicant must be fully accredited with the BABCP Or: Accredited High Intensity Counsellor or Psychotherapist on the Accredited Counsellor register of the Professional Standards Authority AND Accredited in an IAPT modality CfD, DIT, Couple Therapy for Depression, BCT or IPT
Desirable criteria
* Completed IAPT training as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
* Completed IAPT training as a PWP supervisor, if CBT qualified
* Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology.
* Post-qualification training in specialized areas of step 3 provision e.g working in perinatal mental health, with long-term medical conditions or with older adults
Experience
Essential criteria
* Currently working in a CNWL NHS Talking Therapies service
* Experience of running data and performance reports on IAPTus using the Dashboard and Hypercube
* Substantial post-qualification clinical experience of working in an NHS Talking Therapies service with adults, providing NICE compliant therapies
* Experience of operational management and service development of the Step 2 PWP provision within an NHS Talking Therapies service
* Experience of providing triage and duty cover for the service.
* Experience of recruitment, line management and clinical teaching and supervision, to trainee and qualified PWPs or similar
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a range of physical and mental health conditions and across care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings.
* Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
* Experience of working in adult mental health services.
* Experience of interdisciplinary working within the NHS.
* Demonstrate further specialist training/experience through having received a minimum of 50 hours clinical supervision of working as a specialist clinical or counselling psychologist / HI
* Therapist, or meeting the CPD requirements for ongoing accreditation with the relevant professional body, or an alternative agreed by the Chief Psychologist.
* Experience of supervising qualified Talking Therapies clinicians within a clinical mental health service.
* Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision of staff from a range of clinical backgrounds.

* Experience of managing clinical risk, including domestic abuse and adult and child safeguarding
* Experience of organizing services to meet commissioning targets and operational objectives.

* Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials suitable for presentations within public, professional and academic settings.
* Ability to identify and employ mechanisms of clinical governance as appropriate, to support and maintain clinical practice in the face of regular exposure to highly emotive material and challenging behaviour.

Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
* Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological therapies/counselling assessment intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration.
* Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
* Skills in providing consultation to other professional and nonprofessional groups.
* Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
* Or: Post-Qualification practice of, and skills in, CBT and full BABCP accreditation as a CBT Therapist
* Or: Post-Qualification practice of, and skills in, Counselling and full PSA accreditation as a Counsellor and in an IAPT modality
* Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS, BACP, BPC and BABCP.
* Formal training in supervision of other psychologists and Talking Therapies practitioners.
* Proven ability in carrying out clinical audits
Desirable criteria
* Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialized psychological therapies in specific difficult to treat groups (e.g. personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc). High level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies.
* Knowledge of legislation in relation to the client group and mental health.
* Experience of leading and carrying out research projects and interpreting data using statistical analyses.
* Proven ability in carrying out clinical audits
