The GP ReceptionDeputy Manager supports the Reception Manager in ensuring the smooth,efficient, and effective running of the reception and administrative functionswithin the practice.This role involves supervising reception staff, ensuring high standards ofpatient service, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting practicemanagement in the delivery of excellent primary care. The post holder will actas deputy for the Reception Manager in their absence.
Main duties of the job
Supportthe Reception Manager in the day-to-day supervision of the reception team.
Assistwith staff recruitment, induction, training etc
Helpmanage rotas, annual leave, and sickness cover to ensure adequate staffing.
Assistthe Reception Manager with appraisals, updating policies and protocols
Assistthe Reception Manager with CQC compliance
Fostera positive, professional, and patient-focused team culture.
Reception Operations
Ensureception duties are carried out efficiently
Assistthe Reception Manager with handling IT Issues
Overseeand complete the booking of appointments, handling of enquiries, and processingof prescription requests.
Supportimplementation and improvement of reception workflows and systems.
Identifyand resolve operational issues to maintain smooth patient flow.
Handlecomplex or sensitive patient queries and complaints in a professional manner.
Promotea welcoming, caring, and efficient front-of-house environment.
Supportcommunication between patients, clinicians, and administrative staff.
Inaddition to the primary responsibilities, the medical administrator may berequested to:
Partakein audit as directed by management
Scanningof patient related documentation
Contributeto practice meetings
To attend staff and team meetings asnecessary.

* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* Experience of a Team Lead/ Managing role.
* Experience working within a GP Surgery
