Milk Education is proud to be supporting a fantastic SEN school in Woking that is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant and nurturing team. This is a full-time role, available immediately, and offers a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with special educational needs thrive.
In this role, you will support pupils with a range of needs, helping them engage, learn and grow within an environment built on kindness, inclusivity and excellence. Your Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver personalised support to pupils with diverse special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning plans are followed effectively
2. Assist teachers with planning and delivering tailored, engaging activities that promote independence and development
3. Support pupils during lessons, helping to create a safe, inclusive and encouraging learning environment
4. Provide personal care where required, always promoting dignity, respect and independence
5. Help foster a positive, collaborative classroom atmosphere in line with the school’s values
6. Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to staff to support ongoing planning
7. Encourage students’ emotional and social development, promoting resilience and positive behaviour
8. Participate in team meetings and contribute to individual education plans and behaviour strategies
9. Work closely with colleagues, parents and external professionals to support pupils holistically
10. Uphold the school’s strong commitment to safeguarding and student welfare at all times
