About the role
This role is contracted for 46 hours per week, made up of four 12-hourshifts. 7pm to 7am (Nights) working 4 days in a 7-day period.
Duties of the role are:
1. To provide a safe and crime-free environment for all clients, visitors and staff
2. To liaise closely with the Head of Security about all issues and running of the department regularly
3. Maintaining accurate stock control and maintenance of security equipment
4. To conduct/supervise crime investigations with the Head of Security
5. To deputise in the absence of Head of Security
6. To liaise with the police where appropriate on crime and crime prevention issues
7. To carry our regular patrols in and around the hotel using Morse Watchman system
8. To carry our staff searches, vehicle searches and locker searches
9. Carry outdoor duties as and when required
10. Attend any reported incidents and complete incident forms
11. To ensure that the security department is conversant with and complies with all the bomb/fire evacuation procedures and responsibilities
12. To ensure that the CCTV system is operated and controlled in accordance with current legislation In conjunction with the Head of Security, to conduct internal crime/discipline investigations where appropriate
13. To ensure that the procedures in respect of drugs, recording, disposal, police involvement and hotel guests are complied with
