Position
SENCO (Special Education Needs & Disability Coordinator) – Permanent, Full Time – Non-Class Based – at Whybridge Infant School, Rainham, Havering.
Salary: Main Scale / Upper Pay Scale + SEN allowance. Closing date: 5 June 2026.

Key Responsibilities
* Leading and coordinating SEND provision across EYFS and KS1, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach throughout the school.
* Supporting and coaching teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive, adaptive teaching and effective interventions.
* Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the impact of SEND interventions, using data and evidence to inform next steps.
* Working in partnership with families, valuing their insights and ensuring their voices are central to decision‑making.
* Liaising with external agencies, including educational psychologists, therapists and local authority services, to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
* Ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, maintaining accurate records and contributing to statutory processes such as EHCPs.
* Modelling excellent classroom practice and supporting the professional development of colleagues through training and guidance.
* Contributing to the wider life of the school, promoting a culture of inclusion, empathy and high expectations for all.
Qualifications
Completed the National Award for SENCO Accreditation or NPQ for SENCOs, or prepared to undertake this qualification. Experience as a classroom practitioner and a demonstrated commitment to inclusive education are essential.
