We’re on the lookout for a Catering Assistant to join our team at The Rock Pool Café, where fresh, tasty food and great customer service are at the heart of everything we do.
What’s the role all about?
You’ll be part of a warm, close-knit team helping to deliver fresh, simple meals and delicious snacks to our visitors. Whether you’re preparing sandwiches, plating up hot lunches, serving cakes and drinks, or keeping our café sparkling clean and inviting, you’ll play a key role in making every guest’s experience a memorable one.

• Keen to learn. We’ll give you full training
Previous experience in a busy café or kitchen is a bonus, but not essential. A food hygiene certificate is desirable, but don’t worry if you don’t have one; we can support you to gain it.
What you’ll be doing:
• Preparing and serving fresh, hot and cold food
• Serving customers with a smile and a warm welcome
• Keeping the café clean, tidy and fully stocked
• Supporting with stock ordering and kitchen organisation
The Details:
• 4–5 days per week (including some weekends and bank holidays on a rota)
• 9:00am – 5:00pm – no split shifts!
• Seasonal contract until September, with potential for extension
• Some flexible hours around core times and other team schedules
• Competitive hourly rate + benefits, based on your experience, responsibilities and availability
