We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist to join our client's busy Neuro Complex Care team at their Neurological Care and Neuro-Rehab Centre in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
This is a part-time post of between one and three days per week, with a pro-rata salary based on the FTE. We are open to discussing different hours with applicants.
Our client is a leading independent provider of specialist neurological care and rehabilitation for adults aged 18 and over with conditions such as dementia, Huntington's disease, Parkinson's disease, Korsakoff's syndrome, traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, and stroke. The centre aims to nurture dignity and independence, working with patients and their families to create personalized care programs.
The multidisciplinary team includes a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Neuropsychiatrist, Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Assistant Psychologists, Therapy Technicians, Therapy Assistants, and Activities Coordinators. You will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist, who will provide direct supervision.
The role involves:
1. Participating in MDT meetings and providing neuropsychological assessments, formulations, and interventions.
2. Conducting face-to-face treatments addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
3. Developing and implementing cognitive, behavioral, and compensatory strategies.
4. Writing reports and attending care reviews.
5. Supervising Assistant Psychologists.
Person requirements include:
* Full HCPC registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Neuropsychologist.
* Experience working with adults with neurological conditions, including dementia.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and assessments under the Mental Capacity Act.
* Involvement in Best Interest meetings and decision-making.
* Legal right to work in the UK (no sponsorship needed).
