Sellick Partnership is delighted to be assisting a well-established local authority in London in their search for a Principal Planning and Regeneration Lawyer to join their welcoming and collaborative team on a permanent basis.
Therefore, the successful Principal Planning and Regeneration Lawyer will have prior experience of line managing a team and will be a legal specialist in planning and highways law. Prior local authority experience is required, and you must be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister, CILEx).
This is a hybrid, full-time role offering a salary of £65-£73k with a £5k market supplement.
Demonstrate significant expertise in Planning and Regeneration;
Support the Practice, and work with other authorities, external barristers and private law firms to support specific cases, schools or projects;
Support the financial management of the Organisation and contribute to the management of the Practice budget;
Building and maintaining effective working relationships with senior client managers;
Resolving and personally dealing with complex legal issues;
Undertaking legal management consultancy;
Advising council, cabinet and committee meetings on law and procedure;
Representing the Practice at Lawyers in Local Government, the London Boroughs' Legal Alliance and other professional bodies;
To ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel & IIP standards at all times.
