Intervention Teacher Wandsworth| Full Time | Temp-to-Perm Salary: Inner London Pay Scales We are seeking a committed Numeracy Intervention Teacher to join an inclusive co-ed academy in Wandsworth. You will have a pivotal role in minimising learning gaps improving progress of students across KS3 & KS4 Purpose of the Role As an Intervention Teacher you will deliver targeted numeracy interventions to Key Stage 3/4 students and support wider numeracy provision across the academy. The role includes additional numeracy responsibilities as directed by the Head of Maths. Key Responsibilities As an Intervention Teacher you will: * Deliver numeracy intervention lessons to KS3 students, including preparation and differentiation of resources * Carry out baseline and interim assessments and track student progress * Deliver aspects of the alternative curriculum to KS4 students, including basic numeracy * Supervise and support students, including those with special educational needs, ensuring safety and access to learning Person Specification We are looking for a Intervention teacher with: * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) * Specialism in Maths * Proven experience teaching in UK secondary schools * Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills * Ability to plan, implement and evaluate effective actions for pupils at risk of underachieving.
