Main purpose of job:To assist the Store Management team in the effective operation of the store, to maximise sales and profitability. The coordination of the store team, to ensure excellent customer service is always provided, whilst making sure brilliant store standards are attained. To be a positive role model to the team, ensuring high standards are upheld in the Store Management teams absence.
Main Duties
Team Management
* Develop the Teams performance in order to promote high potential colleagues and manage poor performance effectively.
* Support in the recruitment, training and onboarding of new colleagues.
* Support the Store Management in promoting positive working relationships both within the Store and across the wider Society.
* Assist the Store Management team in maintaining the security of the Store, including ensuring that all colleagues are proactive in the prevention of shoplifting.
* Keep skill set up to date by participating in all mandatory training and e-learning courses.
* Participate in colleague meetings regarding absence and assist the Store Manager in actively working to reduce instances of sickness.
* To be an approachable ambassador for the Store Management Team, escalating any potential conflict or issues to the Store or Area Manager when appropriate.
