Systems Administrator
Hybrid - 3 days per week in the Maidenhead Office
As a Systems Administrator you will be supporting both internal and external hosted systems by managing hardware and software infrastructure. You'll play a key role in supporting Hosted operations, handling complex support requests, collaborating across departments, and maintaining high availability and performance of systems.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor, identify, and correct issues with platforms including HyperV, Application Support, Server, SAN/NAS etc
Design and select storage, data centre, network, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice.
Maintain assigned portals/websites, using content creation and management tools as well as digital media.
Perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
Provide fault isolation and resolution to limit and address issues promptly.
Communicate effectively across technical teams when working on, through or escalating issues.Technical Skills:
Solid foundation in networking principles.
Proficiency in Windows Server and Active Directory administration and issue resolution.
Strong understanding of Windows Clustering for high-availability services.
Experience with Windows backup solutions - Veeam preferred
Experience administering SAN solutions (e.g., provisioning, monitoring).
Good understanding of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
Good understanding of SQL Server - including monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance.
Experience with Windows Certificate Management is a plus.
Ability to write/debug PowerShell scripts for automation and system tasks.
Good to great understanding of switch configuration and firewall rule sets is a strong plus.
Barracuda platform knowledge - including Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and NextGen Firewall - is highly desirable.
Cisco ASA firewall experience is a strong bonus
Hands-on experience with Hyper-V vitalisation platform - Including clustering/clustered storage
A good understanding of PCI-DSS Practice is a plus
