We are looking for an ambitious Group Financial Accountant to join on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Must be available at 4 weeks notice.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit and Financial Reporting
* Prepare statutory accounts for legacy legal entities, including audited consolidated financial statements, ensuring all deadlines are met.
* Drive completion of the outstanding FY24 year-end audit for a key UK entity.
* Act as the primary liaison for external auditors and internal stakeholders, coordinating the provision of supporting documentation and resolving queries efficiently.
Entity Structure Optimisation
* Lead efforts to streamline the legacy group structure, including settlement of intercompany positions and removal of obsolete entities.
* Partner with the tax team to analyse the impact of proposed changes and optimise tax outcomes.
* Proven experience in the preparation of multi-currency group consolidations with different functional and reporting currencies and managing external audits.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Professionally qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent preferred).
* Experience post-qualification in group finance or statutory reporting, including hands-on preparation of consolidated accounts.
* Skilled in managing complex, multi-currency consolidations involving different functional and reporting currencies.
* Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, group structures, and tax considerations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident engaging across multiple departments.
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.
* Highly proficient in Excel, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
