OH Medical is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join a dynamic in-house Occupational Health department in a full-time, permanent role. This site-based opportunity is located in Stanford-le-Hope and involves working within a multidisciplinary team.
The Role:
This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Nurse to deliver high-standard Occupational Health services. Responsibilities include:
* Providing health surveillance and wellbeing services under OHA guidance
* Conducting medicals such as pre-employment, driver, safety-critical, and drug & alcohol testing
* Performing assessments including spirometry, audiometry, HAVS (Tier 1–2), skin checks, and DSE assessments
* Maintaining accurate clinical records and documenting outcomes
* Communicating fitness-to-work results to HR and coordinating follow-ups with the Medical Secretary
* Collaborating with OHA/OHP on abnormal findings and next steps
* Ensuring proper use, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment
* Adhering to NMC and GDPR standards
* Supporting audits and undertaking additional duties aligned with your role and experience
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will be:
* An NMC Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of post-registration experience
* Experienced as an Occupational Health Nurse, preferably within an internal OH team or provider setting
* From a background in operational or safety-critical environments (desirable)
* Committed to ongoing CPD and professional development
* Organised, compliant, and with strong planning skills
* Pragmatic, solution-oriented, and customer-focused
* Capable of working independently and collaboratively, with flexibility
* An excellent communicator with strong collaboration skills
* Proficient in MS Office and OH systems
* Able to work on-site at London Gateway
* Holder of a full UK driving license and authorized to work in the UK
Salary & Benefits:
The role offers:
* A competitive salary between £45,000 and £51,000, based on experience and qualifications
* 10% annual bonus scheme
* 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
