We are seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will assist in the delivery of planned education programs, under teacher direction. You will also assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment by maintaining equipment, materials and resources for use in classes, displays and demonstration, and assisting the teacher with clean and safe storage of items after classes and activities.

The suitable applicants will ideally have experience working with students in the Early Years. Orelia PS provides a supportive and inclusive classroom environment committed to developing all aspects of the child cognitive, physical, language academic needs of our students, but also their social, emotional and physical needs.

Eligibility

1. be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
2. obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
3. consent to a and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
