Temporary Staffing Service Team Leader

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Temporary Staffing Services team at UHCW NHS Trust as a Band 5 Team Leader on a permanent basis.
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to support the development and implementation of new processes and procedures within the service. You will play a key role in maintaining effective audit and governance systems, ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, national requirements and best practice, while contributing to ongoing service improvement.
Working closely with the Temporary Staffing Services Manager and Deputy Manager, you will support the day-to-day operational delivery of the service. This will involve liaising with Trust-wide colleagues, professional leads and external agencies to ensure efficient and responsive staffing support across the organisation.
You will have line management responsibility for the TSS Booking Assistants and Officers, providing day-to-day supervision, support and performance management to ensure high standards of service delivery.

Main duties of the job
People Management and Leadership
* Provide effective line management to team members, including undertaking appraisals, supporting development planning, and managing performance.
* Oversee sickness absence in line with Trust policy, including monitoring, review meetings, and appropriate interventions.
* Coordinate annual leave to ensure adequate service coverage.
Operational Service Delivery
* Manage the day-to-day running of the team to ensure delivery of a high-quality, end-to-end temporary staffing service.
* Regularly review workloads, priorities, and task allocation to maintain service efficiency and responsiveness.

Job responsibilities
Financial and Payroll Oversight
* Ensure the timely and accurate processing of payments for both internal bank staff and external agency workers, in line with payroll deadlines and financial controls.
Advisory and Stakeholder Engagement
* Provide expert advice and guidance to departments on the appropriate use of temporary staffing and agency resources.
* Support the implementation of robust monitoring, assurance, and escalation processes.
* Promote and share best practice to optimise workforce utilisation across the Trust.
Role Requirements
The post holder will work operationally within a busy Temporary Staffing/Resourcing/People Services environment and previous team leadership experience is required.
