NES Fircroft is supporting a key Oil & Gas client in Aberdeen with a ROV Project Engineer role on a long-term contract basis.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendor, respecting processes & protocols, and being responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation.
This will be a 12-month PAYE contract, working full-time hours (37.5 per week). After initial training, the successful candidate will work a 3/2 hybrid shift pattern.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild Subsea / ROV systems & Equipment
* Review procedures and drawings to ensure practicality from an ROV operations perspective
* Maintain awareness and understanding of current client requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards, including statutory rules and regulations
* Ensure all activities comply with policies on health, safety, quality, and environmental matters
* Prioritize personal safety and that of others, ensuring risks are minimized
Required Experience and Skills:
* Completed engineering studies at a university or college level, or possess equivalent experience
* Strong knowledge of offshore ROV operations, particularly subsea construction and remote intervention
* Up-to-date knowledge of ISO 13628-8 regarding design and operation of subsea production systems, specifically ROV interfaces
* Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment
* Good understanding of ROV system design and system-level engineering
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MathCAD, and AutoCAD
* Ability to work independently, coordinate resources, contribute actively, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
* Effective communication skills at all levels and confidence in supervising other technical disciplines
