Overview
Quality Officer - Heywood at Neogen Corporation. Based on-site in Heywood, the role focuses on ensuring quality activities align with quality management, health & safety, legal, and environmental policies.
Responsibilities
* Perform and maintain core site activities of the QMS including document control, CAPAs, investigations, complaints, supplier management and change controls.
* Ensure corrective actions are taken to address non-conformances and perform verifications.
* Undertake detailed root cause analysis and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Perform process internal audits in adherence to the audit schedule.
* Maintain KPIs from electronic QMS activities weekly/monthly and provide detailed trend analysis of non-conformities.
* Responsible for Quality Induction and eQMS training.
* Responsible for label updates and final approval of product labels.
* Support the company certification to ISO9001, ISO13485 and ISO17025 accreditation; support the preparation and facilitation of client/regulatory audits.
What you’ll be doing
* Execute and maintain core QMS activities, including document control, CAPAs, investigations, complaints, supplier management and change controls.
* Address non-conformances with effective corrective actions and verifications.
* Conduct root cause analyses and identify opportunities for process improvement.
* Carry out internal process audits according to schedule.
* Track and report KPIs from electronic QMS systems with trend analyses of non-conformities.
* Deliver Quality Induction and eQMS training.
* Assist with product label updates and obtain final label approvals.
* Contribute to and support ISO certifications and audits.
About you
* Relevant scientific qualification desirable, but not essential.
* Previous QA experience desirable.
* Experience with electronic Quality Management Systems is advantageous but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Computer literate (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel) with strong administrative and report-writing skills.
* Methodical, process-driven with high attention to detail.
* Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality and accurate output.
* Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
