Business Systems Analyst required to join an initial 9 month contract with a leading FinTech organisation to support the migration, enhancement, and optimisation of systems used to prevent financial crime ensuring systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
The successful candidate will lead the transition of critical business rules from legacy financial crime systems to a modern solution, ensuring smooth delivery with minimal disruption. They will design and implement effective detection rules and scenarios across transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, and related platforms. Responsibilities include testing and validating system performance, using data to identify trends, and producing actionable insights for stakeholders. The analyst will ensure regulatory compliance is maintained throughout, while also supporting user training and adoption. In addition, the role includes automating processes to improve efficiency, building forecasting models to support resource planning, and tracking project progress, risks, and dependencies.
Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record in delivering system migrations within financial crime domains
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and deliver practical insights
* Good understanding of AML, KYC, fraud, and other financial crime tools and regulations
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficiency in SQL, Python, SAS, or Tableau for analysis and reporting
