Hello! My name is Lina and I am a Clinical Trials Pharmacy Team Manager for the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team in Oxford and I'm very excited to share this new and exciting career opportunity with you.

The Clinical Trials Pharmacy consists of Pharmacists, Technicians, Assistants and Apprentices. We work closely with research teams across the trust and external representatives. Our fantastic team of setting up Pharmacists and Technicians work on monthly R&D targets to open new Clinical Trials and we currently have over active studies.

Main duties of the job

As a Pharmacy Clinical Trials (Health Science) Practitioner – Operational Delivery in our team, you will have an extremely varied role.

You will support and assist with the operational delivery of Pharmacy Clinical Trial Service, support senior Pharmacy Clinical Trials Managers and Associate Director for Pharmacy Clinical Trials, Research and Manufacturing to develop processes to improve service delivery. You will plan projects to improve service delivery, using QI methodologies, support the writing of business cases to develop staff or infrastructure, manage the data and write monthly performance reports. You will ensure that Pharmacy procedures relating to specific clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (IMP’s) are in accordance with appropriate regulations (ICH/GCP, EU Directive //EC, FDA, GMP) and within Research Governance Framework.

A successful candidate should possess:

1. BTEC / NVQ Level Pharmacy Services
2. Degree in a relevant Scientific subject
3. Business Administration qualification or commitment to achieve within months
4. Registration with Science Council as Science Technician
5. Extensive experience of the day-to-day management and handling of IMPs.
