Overview
As a Social Worker, you can be the reason why lives change for the better, helping some of the most vulnerable people gain a brighter future. With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you can join the multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge, Leeds which has a strong emphasis on teamwork, and where you will provide care for patients to step down through their recoveries. You report to the Safeguarding Lead, and will manage internal investigations and liaise with home authorities for service users during their admission and discharging process, while enjoying access to a range of training opportunities that can see your career grow and you achieve your career aspirations.
At Elysium Healthcare, you will be working at Spring Wood Lodge, a service supporting women over 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours. Typically, they have a diagnosis of personality disorder or a severe mental illness. They may not have had their needs met in a general psychiatric service, and the service focuses on active rehabilitation with a view to achieving a sustainable discharge. Elysium Healthcare has over 8,000 employees with 80 services across England and Wales, providing opportunities for career progression.
Responsibilities
* Manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future.
* Full-time (37.5 hours) or part-time (22.5 hours) hours will be considered.
* Report to the Safeguarding Lead and liaise with home authorities for service users during admission and discharge processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Experience as a Social Worker with NHS or private care backgrounds preferred.
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and support service users to plan for their future.
