Responsibilities
A key activity for this role will be to commission and support site-based control systems and equipment for one of our key clients. This involves commissioning PLC, HMI and SCADA to tight deadlines. You will work as part of a team to commission updated installations, provide site support and supervision during the installation and commissioning period, ensuring compliance with NICEIC requirements and aiding in ongoing certification of NICEIC standards. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring work is completed to the highest standard within agreed deadlines.
Job Details
Full‑time position: 45 hours a week – Monday to Friday.
Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum of 2 years practical experience in electrical control panel wiring, electrical installation, and commissioning.
* Solid understanding of electrical diagrams for control panel wiring.
* Ability to organise installation and commissioning snag identification and rectification.
* Self‑motivated, practical problem solver with good communication skills.
* Electrical qualifications: C&G, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC, or HNC/HND (18th edition required).
* Previous experience of NICEIC certification assessments highly beneficial.
* Previous experience in a service & support, electrical installation or commissioning role.
* Control panel design and panel building experience beneficial.
* Knowledge or experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley or Siemens.
* Experience with equipment installation and commissioning.
* UK driving licence (occasional travel to sites may be required).
* Must be eligible to work in the UK.
