This is a stimulating opportunity for an experienced technician to play a key role in a busy and ambitious performing arts department. About the Role This full-time, permanent position is perfect for a technical specialist who enjoys a variety of tasks across theatre, music, and dance. You will work closely with the AV & Production Manager to ensure all requirements are met for productions in the school's theatre and multi-use spaces. This is a role that requires creativity, technical skill, and the ability to work collaboratively with both staff and students. Responsibilities Provide full technical support for all curricular and extra-curricular performances, including lighting and sound operation. Assist with the recording of coursework and recitals for curriculum needs, ensuring high-quality audio and video capture. Ensure all regular maintenance and inspections of theatre and stage equipment are followed as per manufacturer guidelines. Manual handling and heavy lifting of theatre equipment, alongside confident use of ladders for rigging purposes. Requirements Previous experience as a technician or experience working within a classroom setting. Right to work in the UK and a valid enhanced DBS. Salary £26,500 – £31,000 per annum.
