Accounting & Tax Associate – Permanent – Liverpool - £25k - £32k DOE
Forrest Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounting & Tax Associate to join a growing team of professionals in Liverpool City Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practice experience who is looking to develop their technical skills and progress within a supportive firm.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of statutory accounts
* Bookkeeping for a range of clients
* Preparation and submission of VAT Returns
* Corporation Tax computations and Returns
* Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for individuals and partnerships
* Company Secretarial duties
* Carrying out basic technical tasks as assigned
* Working collaboratively as part of a team, with an overall reporting line to the Partners
Essential:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within an accountancy practice (preferred)
* Strong accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines, with guidance from managers
* Sound understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to apply common sense
* Experience using Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage (essential)
* Knowledge of CCH would be advantageous, but is not essential
