Head of MS Integration & Delivery at The Barcode Warehouse Limited
The Project Manager – Public Sector Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end management, delivery, and implementation of Managed Service support across public sector environments. This includes leading project planning and execution, ensuring compliance with public sector standards, and embedding social value and sustainability into delivery at our TBW sites and customer locations.
This role involves regular travel to customer sites across the UK. Occasional overnight stays may be required to support project delivery and stakeholder engagement.
The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to oversee technical solutions while ensuring successful adoption and measurable improvements in public service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Lead the delivery of public sector technology projects from initiation through to operational support including working with the relevant support teams to ensure operational readiness.
* Define and document “As-Is” processes and collaborate with ISVs to design and implement RTLS, asset tracking, inventory, and Point of Care solutions.
* Manage deployment of public sector requirements, ensuring compliance with public sector standards.
* Lead or support public sector procurement processes, including ITT responses, framework agreements, and contract management.
* Deliver stakeholder engagement across public sector, ensuring transparency, accountability, and public value.
* Oversee project governance: risk, issue, and quality management, ensuring compliance with PRINCE2, ISO9001, and specific public sector regulations.
* Embed social value, sustainability, Net Zero, and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) principles into all project delivery and reporting, in line with public sector commitments.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrated experience managing public sector projects within relevant environments.
* Understanding of public sector workflows, compliance requirements, and digital standards.
* Experience with risk, quality, and compliance management to public sector standards.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and report‑writing skills, with the ability to present to boards, audit committees, regulators, and public sector stakeholders.
* Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Understanding of RTLS technologies (RFID, BLE, Wi‑Fi) – training provided if not fully experienced.
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Green Belt).
* Familiarity with mobile computing, clinical applications, or public sector.
* Knowledge of software development environments (e.g., C, C++, Java, Visual Studio) – advantageous but not essential.
* Experience of user training materials, SOPs, and process documentation.
* Understanding of public sector accessibility standards and commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.
* Strong knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks and contract management processes.
