Overview

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Ipswich Hospital, with cross-site collaboration to Colchester pharmacy colleagues to ensure consistency of practice and development of staff. The role focuses on delivering clinical pharmacy activity at ward level and leading education and training across the Pharmacy department.


Responsibilities

* Lead all education and training activities on the Ipswich site and cross-site education and training activities within the Pharmacy department at ESNEFT.
* Develop, deliver and maintain locally-based education and training schemes for all grades of pharmacist and clinical pharmacy technician staff.
* Take the lead on mentoring and coaching of junior pharmacists and student pharmacists during Clinical Diploma and Foundation Trainee studies.
* Work with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the optimal and cost‑effective use of medicines at ward level and minimise drug wastage.
* Provide an advanced level clinical pharmacy service at ward level in line with Pharmacy KPIs and agreed clinical standards.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency of practice and a uniform approach to staff development.
