Overview
Deputy Lead post in a Breast Screening Unit requiring Advanced Practice skills. The role is to provide operational leadership to support staff at the Bolton Hospital Sunflower Suite and Breast Screening Sites, with extensive mammography experience to develop and support junior staff while delivering high standards of imaging. The post holder will be expected to perform clinical duties.
Main duties
* Provide a high quality, timely and efficient NHS Breast Screening Programme, alongside a symptomatic and specialised assessment mammographic service.
* Act as coordinator for the radiographic team to ensure effective clinical coordination and management, adhering to the roles and responsibilities of this position.
* Provide supervision and guidance to all junior members of the team.
* Demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional autonomy with the ability to make clinical judgments and critical decisions using extensive knowledge, skills and experience.
* Develop robust workflows, systems and processes to ensure delivery of safe, responsive care.
* Effectively manage patient and breast screening client requirements, ensuring a high level of service and care.
* Collect and manipulate data to produce audit presentations and documents.
* Assist in training team colleagues and Advance Practice colleagues as required.
* Maintain high personal and professional standards and lead junior staff to deliver the same, providing high standards of patient care in a safe, clean and tidy working environment, while observing Trust and departmental policies.
