Job Description
Job Purpose
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) drives new business opportunities, identifies, qualifies, and nurtures leads, books meetings for the sales team, and maintains relationships to expand the company’s customer network and revenue.
Key Responsibilities
* Prospecting: identify and research potential customers, build qualified lead lists in Salesforce, use outbound strategies such as cold calling, social selling, and targeted email campaigns.
* Lead qualification: assess leads based on budget, business need, decision‑making authority, and timeline; qualify inbound enquiries and referral leads.
* Book meetings: schedule and confirm meetings or demos between prospects and Business Development Managers (BDM), manage scheduling efficiently across regions.
* Lead nurturing: maintain regular communication, share product information, update resources, record all interactions in Salesforce.
* Managing relationships: support ongoing engagement with existing clients, identify upsell or cross‑sell opportunities, conduct product demonstrations.
* Reporting and feedback: track daily and weekly activities, prepare reports summarizing outreach metrics, pipeline health, and meeting outcomes; provide feedback to sales and marketing teams.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably in a B2B environment).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with an engaging phone manner.
* Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools.
* Ability to manage multiple prospects and priorities simultaneously.
* High motivation, resilience, and a growth mindset.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
